Community and Safety

Beyond the sirens and flashing lights, our mission is to build a safer Middletown through proactive education and prevention. Whether we’re providing life-saving EMS care or teaching fire safety in our schools, our combination of volunteer and career members is dedicated to protecting our neighbors 24/7.

Our commitment extends far beyond emergency response. We take an active role in local classrooms through fire prevention education, ensuring our youngest residents know how to stay safe. You can also find us sharing year-round safety tips on our social media to keep your family informed. Whether we are hosting local Scout troops or welcoming students for station tours, we take pride in being an open, accessible resource for the community we are so proud to serve.

Emergency Responses

Rocky Run Fire Company responds to approximately 800 fire emergencies and 3,000 medical emergencies every year.

We respond not only to fires, but also auto accidents, hazardous materials incidents, homeland security incidents, EMS calls, elevator rescues, public assists, and the occasional cat in a tree.

Membership

Not all positions are fire-related. We are men and women of all ages, races, and backgrounds.

We are residents of many different towns, counties, and states. Our membership includes lawyers, teachers, students, 911 dispatchers, business-persons, and retired people.

501(c)3 Status

Rocky Run Fire Company is a registered 501.c.3 non-profit organization and while our firefighters are 100% volunteer, we do have a small paid team of EMTs!

In addition to all the training involved, the members spend countless hours providing fire prevention education, community activities, and fundraising.
